The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center provides men with substance abuse problems with the opportunity to regain their self-respect and acquire the life skills needed to take their rightful place in life. Adult Rehabilitation Center is a modern, smoke-free facility dedicated to rebuilding lives. The residence accommodates 73 men.

Beneficiaries (program participants) stay a minimum of six months and may remain until they are able to integrate back into society as contributing members.

Our program is designed to treat the whole person rather than just a specific problem. The majority of men who come to this center for assistance are having problems in many areas of their lives, including, social, medical, spiritual, personal, and employment. The common factor for most of them is addiction to drugs and/or alcohol.

It should be kept in mind that the Center is not a temporary shelter for a few days of care, or a place to stay while seeking employment.

Program participants agree to a six-month residential rehabilitation program designed to deal with their lives so that they can have their rightful place in society. Following this initial phase, aftercare is available to assist clients in acquiring the skills necessary for a healthy productive recovery.

Admission to the ARC is voluntary and subject to staff approval. Our intake referral sources include social services, the clergy, physicians, families, the courts, and employers. We accept all referrals with strict confidentiality, protecting the rights of beneficiaries and their families.
