About The Salvation Army in Kauai
The Salvation Army serves those in most need on Kauai. Our services range from providing basic necessities, youth and senior programs, emergency disaster services, food distribution, spiritual services, and holiday assistance. Our service centers are located in Lihue, Hanapepe, and Koloa, but our services to families and individuals extend across the entire island.
We serve more than 1,000 senior citizens on Kauai. Our senior programs provide reacreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and spiritual services. We serve more than 300 keiki on Kauai. Our youth programs include after-school programs, youth nights, summer camp opportunities, and more.
Providing basic needs such as food, clothing, and household goods has always been a priority for The Salvation Army. Today, new programs are addressing contemporary needs including keiki, adult, and kupuna camps, holiday assistance and gifts, weekly programs for youth and seniors, and disaster and emergency services.
In addition, The Salvation Army’s Lihue and Hanapepe Corps work in collaboration with The Salvation Army’s drug and rehabilitation programs on Oahu to provide Kauai residents with care and support to ensure their sobriety is maintained post-treatment.
